Hi friends! I hope you all are having a great Christmas / holiday! I had a great day yesterday with family/friends. I am now equipped to do voice / videos if I decide. Hmm, maybe an idea for the future, lol.

Strawberry Singh’s last Second Life challenge of the year is about winter sims. I have been to many lately but Land Of Rainbows is one of my faves. I believe they do season changes but right now it’s a beautiful winter setup. There are many things to see and do there. They really did a great job!

Do you want to build a snowman?  My answer is yes but only in Second Life, haha.  I have no time for the snow in real life.  I was looking around for a sweater to wear in this photo.  Nothing was catching my eye until I seen this one from Etham at the Man Cave event.  I really love it!

Strawberry Singh’s challenge this week is all about SL animals.  The majority of my animals come from the store Jian.  I think they are all very well done and I can never have too many.  My fave are the dogs so that is what I decided to show here.  These are my two puppy buddies 🙂  They are such hams for the camera, haha!

Hi friends! Strawberry Singh’s #SecondLifeChallenge this week is about unspoken rules in Second Life. I wanted to do this challenge but found that I really have no others to add. She pretty much covered everything I would have said in her vlog/blog.  I’m linking that below 🙂  I think this is very helpful for people to watch/read. It really makes SL better if people follow these simple rules.

Even though I am pretty new to SL and blogging I am still going to do Strawberry Singh’s challenge this week which is to Google myself. I wonder if anything even shows up. Let’s see!

search results

1. Google your Second Life name in “quotations” and share your results. 1,360 results

2. What are the first 5 links that come up? My Twitter, my Facebook, my blog, my blog’s About page, my Marketplace.

3. Click on the “Images” tab and tell us where the first 5 images are from. Twitter, SL forum, and Flickr.

4. Click on the “Videos” tab and share your results, if any. Youtube videos from other SL users that I have commented on.

5. Click on the “News” tab and share your results, if any. I am not newsworthy…yet.

6. Did any of the results surprise you? Not really. The only thing that I was a little surprised to see was a photo on a blog. It is of me playing a game. I had no idea photos were being taken.

7. Are you satisfied with your results or wish they were different in any way? I’m satisfied with the results. I’m glad anything came up to be honest, lol.

How long have you been blogging or vlogging about Second Life?
Only for about a month now.

Why did you start blogging or vlogging?
I have always been interested in writing a blog but never really stuck with it. When I joined Second Life I started to look at a lot of blogs and vlogs by others and was very inspired to start my own. I love shopping for new items and taking photos so I thought it was the perfect fit for me.

How many times a week/month do you post?
I try to post 2/3 times a week but I take so many photos that really I could post a lot more if I wanted to, haha.

Do you keep track of how many hits or subscribers you have?
I am not overly concerned by it but I do like to check sometimes just out of curiosity.

Which electronic devices do you use to blog/vlog with?
I write/post my blog entries from my laptop but I do have the wordpress app on my Iphone that I check occasionally.

Do you monetize your blog or vlogs? If so, do you mind sharing how much you make?
No, I do not. Not as of yet anyway. It is just a fun hobby for me.

What has Second life blogging or vlogging taught you?
It has made me realize how much more difficult blogging/vlogging can be than it sometimes seems initially. You don’t always see the work that goes into a photo/video, etc. I am also learning a lot of photo editing skills that I had no idea about intially. I am still in the very beginning stages of learning 🙂

Do you feel like Second Life blogging or vlogging takes away from your real life?
No, not at all. I still have a very fufilling real life. Second Life and blogging are just hobbies for me that I enjoy in my spare time. If anything, it is just an outlet for creativity.

Do you have a mission statement for your blog or vlog, if so, what is it?
I don’t really have a set mission statement. I haven’t really thought about it to be honest. Maybe just to inspire others the way that I have been by other bloggers/vloggers.

Share your top 3 tips for new bloggers/vloggers.
1. Have fun. Do this for the right reasons. It should be enjoyable. Don’t waste your time on blogging/vlogging if it feels like a chore to you.
2. Make your blog/vlog your own. Find inspiration from others but be you.
3. Keep learning / improving.

What is your Zodiac sign?: My birthday is October 5th so that makes me a Libra.

Do you believe in Astrology and read your horoscope often?: I am not really sure if I believe in astrology. I’d like to believe in it but usually horoscopes are overly general so they can apply to anyone. Either way it’s fun to look at from time to time.

What are some of the traits of your zodiac sign and do you feel they reflect who you are?:
Strengths: Cooperative,diplomatic, gracious, fair-minded, social – Hmm, I’m not really sure about social but the rest are spot on.
Weaknesses: Indecisive, avoids confrontations, will carry a grudge, self-pity – Wow, how does it know me!?
Libra likes: Harmony, gentleness, sharing with others, the outdoors – Mostly true except for the outdoors. I’m mostly a homebody. The rest is correct though. I strongly dislike confrontation or drama of any kind.
Libra dislikes: Violence, injustice, loudmouths, conformity – Yes, I am not a fan of any of these things.

Maybe there is something to this zodiac business after all.

Share seven facts about your Second Life avatar or your SLife that may or may not be obvious to your readers/everyone.

1. My Second Life Fact #1: I am a newbie. I am only 3 months into my second life. A lot of people have been surprised by this. I am pretty tech savvy and catch on quick but i’m still learning.

2. My Second Life Fact #2: I have already changed houses 3 times and thinking about changing again. I started with a Linden home and have purchased 2 others. I love putting together a new place and decorating. It’s one of my favorite things to do in SL.

3. My Second Life Fact #3: My inventory is already a mess. I keep saying I will organize it so it doesn’t get even worse. I am starting to think that will never happen.

4. My Second Life Fact #4: I am most likely oblivious to the fact that you are trying to flirt with me. I am somewhat naive to a lot of things 😉

5. My Second Life Fact #5: I spend most of my SL time alone. I do like having friends and hanging out occasionally but usually i’m shopping, exploring, taking photos by myself.

6. My Second Life Fact #6: I started Second Life with a female avatar. I spent the first 10 days as her. I have no idea why I decided to do this. Maybe because I thought the female starter avatars looked better. I have never logged into that account since.

7. My Second Life Fact #7: I saved the best for last! I don’t have private parts, haha. Honestly I have found no need for this in SL. I don’t visit any nude places or partake in any adult activities so as of right now I’m a Ken doll.
